సాయి గీత ఆశ్రమం

సాయి గీత ఆశ్రమం:
Sai Geetha Ashram is a sacred place, which affords shelter and takes away one's distress while simultaneously bestowing the seeker with peace and happiness.

Sai Geetha Ashram offers succour and solace to the care-worn individual, caught in the daily grind of life. Here in the cool environs of lush green trees, one feels wonderfully restored in mind, body and sprit.

The year 1987 is significant for, in this year H.H. Sadguru Sri Sri Sri Sai Kumar Babaji fulfilled yet another divine task.

He established this Aashram withpurpose – that people may find solutions to their myriad problems through the medium of Puja or ritual worship to tree-deities. By doing so, we are reviving a much forgotten but age old custom of respecting and glorifying

Mother Nature. By connecting with Nature we rediscover the sanctity, harmony and abundance sorely missing in our lives. Sadguru Babaji, in His Boundless Love, has shown us the real and true path to Bliss. Man must learn to live with nature in the true sense of the word.

Sai Geetha Ashram is set in a sprawling area of bountiful land, home to over a hundred species of rare plants and trees. These have been carefully sourced from different parts of India and countries abroad. This life-giving piece of earth has “Dhanwantari Trees” – those that impart health, “Divine Trees” that ensure prosperity in life and “Nakshtra Vrikshas” (Birth star trees) those that fulfill our sincere and legitimate desires. Circumambulating all these trees bestows the desired result. Ensconced among these trees are sacred idols of Ganesha, Hanuman and Garuda which occupy pride of place and fulfill our honest wishes. These hallowed abodes are entitled “Abhaya Murthula Kshetra”, “Garuda Kshetra”, “Draupadi Kshetra” and the holy shrine of Sri Shirdi Sai Baba.

At Sai Geetha Ashram, worship takes on a whole new meaning and fervour. Located far from the madding crowd, this unique Ashram is truly a home-coming for the seeker of the four-fold path namely Dharma (discharge of duty), Artha (acquiring wealth), Kama (gratification of desire) and Moksha (final emancipation).

Sai Geetha Ashram provides scope for attaining Divine Inspiration and the elevation from a lower plane to a higher truth. The name of the Ashram has been conferred by Sadguru Babaji to encompass and embrace the divine message of Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi.

Sadguru Babaji is a personification of "Service to mankind".He is available in the Aashram on every 2nd and 4th Sunday of evry month. His Satsang Speech starts morning at 10:30 AM and ends at 1:30 Am, followed by Free Lunch or Anna Samaradhana for all Devotees.Baba's speech mainly focusses on proper way of living this god's given life,Yoga and its importance in every one's life, Burning Karma and Sandesh.

Devotees from different cultural backgrounds and different places come to listen baba's message and after taht meet him personally to discuss their problems of life.Baba will give them counselling and bless them with several ways of burning their Karma. He has blessed the Manking with Beej Mantra "Sai Shiva Hari Om"

Sri Sai Baba of Shirdi was an Apostle of Love, Compassion and Humility. He sought to dispel the dark of ignorance and scatter the shadows of ill-feelings rampant among people, by lighting lamps of wisdom in each soul through His divine words. The so-called Fakir who begged for alms and who also distributed “Vibhuthi” (Sacred Ashes) among people, constantly reminds us by His deeds of the brevity of life and that death would reduce us all to ashes and dust. We should serve mankind because service to man is service to God.

Sai Geetha Ashram is verily a dynamic centre aiming to serve the people selflessly and to bring about spiritual awakening by religious instructions. It is a resplendant star in this dark and stormy sea of existence, illuminating the path of Inner Peace, true happiness and prosperity in life.

Lord Sri Shiridi Sai Baba:

During the middle of the 19th century, Sri Sai Baba descended on the Earth, who founded no religion, His appearance and way of life He lived provoked people to call Him a "Fakir" (mendicant). A God incarnate whose parentage, antecedents, caste or religion was not Known to anyone nor would He reveal. He became a living God to the people of Shirdi, an obscure village of Maharashtra in India.

Every act of Sai Baba turned out to be a miracle, His mere touch granted vision to the blind, normal legs to the disabled and a perfect healthy body to the disfigured leper. He took upon himself various diseases like Asthma, T B (Tuberculosis) and after undergoing the suffering for 21 days on the 22nd day He would pull out His lungs, intestines, wash them with the well water, dry them on the branch of a tree and again gulp them down inside. This was Baba's unique way of curing diseases of His devotees. Baba would even severe His body into nine parts (Navakanda Yoga) and again reassemble them after some time. This He did to help devotees to get rid off their rheumatic and other ailments

The Holy ash of the sacred fire (Dhuni) kindled just by His penetrating glance is working wonders till to-day.

Sri Sai Baba appeared as Sri Rama, Sri Krishna, Jesus, Guru Nanak and in various other forms the devotees reposed faith in Him. He gave up His mortal coil and attained Maha Samadhi on Tuesday, the 15th October 1918 at about 2.30pm assuring His devotees that:

"I require no door to enter, I have no form, nor any extension, I am All pervading. If you repose faith in Me, even My tomb shall speak to your prayers" .And till to-day countless devotees are experiencing the innumerable miracles of Sri Sai Baba.

Real meaning of Wedding Rituals :

MAANGALYA DHAARANAM

Maangalyam is called as Thali . Thali says that you and I are not separate. We are in this together.
The groom takes the mangal sutra in his hands and recites the following verse:

"మాంగల్యం తంతునానేనా మమ జీవన హేతున
కంటే: బధ్నామి సుభగే ! త్వంజీవ శరదాం శతం"
ఓం మాంగల్య ధారణ ముహూర్త సుముహోర్తస్తూ !!!

(meaning: This is a sacred thread. This is essential for my long life. I tie this around your neck, O maiden having many auspicious attributes! May you live happily for a hundred years (with me).

When the Thali is tied around the neck of the bride, they normally put three knots. The three knots symbolizes Brahma, Vishnu and Rudhra.

Dharmecha, ardhecha, kamecha, mokshecha…Nathi charami, nathi charami, nathi charami

It means "Oh god I am promising in front of all the people that I will never leave the hand of my spouse in all the work I do, in all the financial situations, in all the wishes of life and even in the moksha of my life”.

The 3 knots in BRIDE'S neck.

It means the man is bending in front of a woman to respect her feminity and motherly nature and welcoming her to come to his house and make him happy.

PAANIKGRAHANAM

Paanikgrahanam is the main event of the wedding. In this the groom and the bride hold their hands in public. By holding the hands in public, they indicate to the world that their hearts are set to live together in harmony.

SAPTHAPADHI

Sapthapadhi means taking seven steps together. This is considered to be the most important in a wedding function. If one follows seven steps with another person, it is considered as a confirmation of their eternal friendship. Proclaiming to the world that the groom and the bride will keep up their friendship for life and also take part equally in both good and bad times in life is the whole idea behind Sapthapathi.

The meaning of the manthraas chanted during Sapthapadhi is summarized below.

1. Let the first step you take be with full of emotions.
2. Let the second step be with full of valor and strength.
3. Let the third step be for disciplined and controlled life.
4. Let the life together be a comfortable one.
5. Let the life be full of desirable wealth.
6. Let the seasons (nature) be good to you.
7. The seventh step symbolizes that the couple declare that they aspire for all the above for a happy, married life together

During this ritual, the groom walks with the bride to the right side of the sacred fire. At the conclusion of the seven steps, he chants a mantra where he addresses his wife thus:

”Dear Wife! By taking these seven steps, you have become my dearest friend. I pledge my unfailing loyalty to you. Let us stay together for the rest of our lives. Let us not separate from each other ever. Let us be of one mind in carrying out our responsibilities as householders (grihasthas). Let us love and cherish each other and enjoy nourishing food and good health. Let us discharge our prescribed Vedic duties to our elders, ancestors, rishis, creatures, and gods. Let our aspirations be united."
